CardResell MMA

Our promises, and their limits

These are the promises CardResell makes about a sale, in plain words, each with the limit that goes with it. If a sentence about what we will do is not on this page, we are not promising it.

Your payment is held until the card is delivered

Your payment is held by our payment processor, not paid to the seller, until the card is delivered and your inspection window ends, or until you confirm receipt.

The limit: The processor holds the money, not CardResell: CardResell is not a bank. An open case keeps the payment held until it is decided.

Delivered means the carrier says so

An order only becomes Delivered when the carrier's tracking reports delivery. A seller cannot mark their own order delivered.

The limit: Carrier tracking can lag by a day or more. On an order from an international seller, when the carrier reports the delivery ZIP and it does not match yours, the payment is not released automatically and a person reviews it.

Every order ships with tracking

Every order ships tracked: on a prepaid label CardResell buys for the seller, or on a tracking number from an international seller that we verify with the carrier.

The limit: International sellers buy their own postage at their own counter. A number that the carrier does not recognize does not count as shipped.

You get an inspection window

After delivery you have an inspection window to check the card and open a case. The window is shown on your order.

The limit: The window runs from 24 hours to 7 days depending on the seller's record and the order's value; international-seller orders always get 7 days. Confirming receipt early ends the window but you can still report a problem for up to 30 days after delivery.

The As-Described Promise

If a card arrives damaged or not as the listing showed, report it on the order. If the case is decided in your favor, you are refunded what you paid, fees included.

The limit: The seller can contest and the case is decided on the evidence. If the card matched the listing, the refund is the card price minus the return label. Orders on a US label inside the US get a prepaid return label; an order that crosses a border is decided on photos. Some refunds have dollar and frequency limits.

A seller who cannot ship cancels, and you are refunded in full

If a seller cancels an order they cannot ship, you are refunded in full automatically: the card, the shipping, everything you paid.

The limit: This covers an order that is paid but not yet shipped. The refund goes back to the card you paid with, and your bank decides how soon it shows.

What we do not promise

We email you when a card you watch, want or saved a search for is listed or drops to your target price.

The limit: Alerts can be late or missed, and we do not promise a delivery time. We do not send an alert when a seller whose checkout is paused finishes payout setup: check back on the card or message the seller.
